Description
Medium sized apple with orange-red mottled skin. There is nothing quite like the smell of a freshly sliced cox apple. When you shake a ripe cox apple you should be able to hear the seeds rattle inside!
An English dessert apple, the flesh of a cox is very aromatic, yellow-white, fine-grained, crisp, and very juicy. Not recommended for cooking, it cooks to a fine froth.
